The National Internet Observatory is a research study funded by the National Science Foundation and run by a multidisciplinary team based at Northeastern University. The Observatory aims to help researchers understand how people behave online and how online platforms structure what people see. This is being accomplished through the creation of a large panel of individuals whose behaviors and interactions with platforms are recorded following a robust informed consent process.
